For those who read my previous blog you would know I met a Prince Charming last week who had me at Hello.
What you didn't know was immediately after I published that blog on the day I met him, Prince Charming called up and we chatted a bit (After our date he was heading to one of his friend's house-warming party). It was around 3AM when he called and that just put a large smile on my face.
We kept on talking over the next half an hour and I felt myself as if I was becoming a young giggly girl. The party had almost ended and he was heading for an after-party drinks in some posh bar in upscale Nairobi. I threw caution to the wind and asked if I could join. Half an hour later he was at the agreed meeting place.
Prince Charming was not alone though. He had come with some of his friends who were going for the after-party drinks and I tagged along. I didn't care that I was wearing sandals or the fact that it was four in the morning. The bar itself was a mere twenty minute drive from my place and we reached there in no time.
Drinks were ordered and I loved the way he took charge and ordered my favorite drink. (I am a social drinker) and the stories flowed. I got to know his colleagues Justin and Felicia. Justin was also gay and Prince Charming's best friend since campus.
As with any Kenyans our conversation covered all the major aspects, politics was dished and discussed, the new phenomenon called Tujuane was greatly covered. Susan Mirfat was called unprintable names and drinks flowed. I was mildly tipsy since I haven't had a drink in ages but the attention dished to me by Prince Charming was just amazing.
Before I knew it the sun had risen and Felicia the only girl in the group had decided to go home. Tiredness had finally got it first victim of the group. I was bubbly and mildly tipsy any thoughts of tiredness was dispelled by Prince Charming's sweet caressing of my hand.
If tiredness was a factor to consider, Hunger was an even larger concern. The guys were drinking for the better part of the night and I had last eaten during the dinner. Justin was particularly hungry and started asking the waitress whether we could get something to chew.
Prince Charming kept on his romantic chats with me and I was too engrossed to realize that Justin had gone to complain to get some food. We had privacy and quick glances were stolen, gentle caresses were undertaken and the temperature of the room had spiked to hundred degrees.
Justin and the waitress returned ten minutes later with a bowl of chips to keep the hunger at bay while the chef who had just entered could prepare some meat for us. We slowly devoured the plate of chips and ordered a round of drinks (mind you it was my second bottle). Half an hour later we were joined by another friend of Prince Charming and Justin.
Once again the stories freely flowed and the new friend Adam had added spice to the nearly tiring trio. Adam was also gay and proudly so. This was the first time I had met the true gay community of the country. The group were close-knit and very friendly. They were many more in their circle and Prince Charming promised that I would meet each and every one of them.
One hour after ordering the food, it finally came. A collective sigh of relief passed through the table and plates and spoons were doing the talking. The Nyama Choma as we call it here or Roast Meat in english was disappearing at an alarming rate. Hunger is an enemy that shows no mercy and eating was the solution. I stole some quick glances at Prince Charming who was eating so sexily if that was possible. At that time I wished I was the fork so that I could touch his sweet lips. Our eyes met and we both smiled.
Fed and Happy, now the conversation took a little slower turn. Adam and Justin were in deep conversation which left Prince Charming all to me. I could swore that we were chatting mentally because little was said between us and the caressing of the hand was there. Our eyes were locked onto each other, we both were a bit shy to speak lovingly to one another in the presence of his friends. So I took my phone and texted on Whatsapp.
If little was spoken after the meal between Prince Charming and I, it was a different case on WhatsApp. We sent each other texts while we sat infront of each other. We even managed to send pictures to each other. Prince Charming sent one pic that made my 3rd leg stand at an absolute attention.
Hunger had been appeased but tiredness had not. Adam was openly yawning and broke with us. He left to go home. It was by then 11AM and the Sun had yet to reach its pole position. A cool wind was blowing and the Sunday crowd fresh from church were starting to mill around in the bar.
Prince Charming's eyes showed signs of tiredness, his texts were heavy and sweet. Pretty soon Justin also split and went to sleep. It just remained the two of us. The phones were placed down, I was now tired and sexually excited. He was super tired and even more sexually aroused. The demons of passion were awake even though none of us had any energy in us.
Prince Charming I say is a gentleman and more. He knew if I followed to his place we both wouldn't be able to resist one another and I would be breaking my own commitments which stipulated that only after five dates would I be bedded by a date.
It took the effort of tiredness and more chatting that somehow we passed that heavy chemistry moment. I so badly wanted him and he so badly wanted me.
We then left the bar a few minutes past midday on Sunday. I entered his car and he started driving me home. I tried begging him to let me go by Taxi but that fell on deaf ears. We pretty much held hands in the car and the trip home was completed soon enough.
I wanted to kiss him goodbye, I could see the longing in his eyes. He looked back at me and got out of the car. I thought he will kiss me in broad daylight, at this point I just wanted to go back with him and forget all the stupid stipulation. He walked slowly towards me and gave me a bear hug. It was our first contact since we met. A tender hug where we somehow hold onto a bit longer. I could smell his cologne and feel the bulge in his trousers. He could also feel the bulge in my trouser and we both let go of each other.
Never has such a sweet moment held so much significance for me. I almost wept. Trust me tears were beginning to form. It was our first date and already I could feel hooked to this gentleman. He smiled his flashy yet sexy smile and shook my hand. Goodbye was all he could whisper. He entered his car and drove off. I'd like to assume he didn't want me to see his tears.
I stood rooted to the place where I was standing and pretty soon my phone was vibrating. It was him calling, smiling I answered as I entered my house. Tired but satisfied.

A Romantic Date with a Perfect Gentlemen
I gotta admit that am not that type of a guy who usually pens what I experience on that particular day. I wasn't even sure I could do this now. After a glass of wine and some pills, I guess I am cool with starting a blog.
First I would like to share with my blog readers that I am gay- and proud. I guess I made my peace with that aspect of mine. I am also Muslim. I also made peace with those seemingly contradicting halves of myself.
Thanks to the internet I could share with anonymous readers my deepest darkest secrets that I couldn't share with my loved ones for fear of rejection. The internet to me is the great equalizer; breaking boundaries, social and physical.
For those who say been gay is a choice, I want to tell you that I have always been attracted to boys. I remember one day when my parents took us to a wedding I shouted loudly to my mum that I would marry a man. Talk about coming out when you are a toddler.
Well the topic at hand was a fabulous date I had today with a handsome yet charming guy.
Well for privacy's sake lets call him Prince Charming.
We actually met in one of this gay singles site. And we chatted for a whole day.
Prince charming called me up on Saturday and said he'd pass by around 8pm. True to his word he was there pronto and I was kinda thrilled by his punctuality. I immediately rushed to the venue and Lo and Behold he was sitted comfortably in his chair.
I entered the room trying to make a first impression and hoping for that romantic first dates I always see in Rom-Com.
This date however was better than that Rom-Com.
The date started with a perfect tenor where we introduced one another. I immediately liked him, Prince Charming was calm and composed. We got to talking and soon we were even discussing our past relationships. I have always thought speaking of your ex was a bad sign. Trust me with Prince Charming it was like a breeze. I somehow couldn't even recall my ex's name.
Two hours and a dinner later, we were discussing our taste in Pop culture. Frankly I don't believe we could be any different. We both liked Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings and we both hated twilight with a passion.
Our Musical taste was uncannily same, top marks went to the divas Beyonce and Whitney Houston. Honorable mentions for Fun, Gotye, Oliver Tank, Jay-Z. Bottom marks for Justin Bieber and Nikki Minaj. Is there anyone who doesn't hate Bieber?
We both discovered we were bookworms and high fived one another.
Unfortunately Prince Charming had to go to his friend's place. I kind of felt sad and wished he stayed the whole night. But everything has to end at some point.
The good thing though is that Prince Charming asked me out for a 2nd date next weekend. That somehow added cream to the lovely date I had today.
Looking forward to next week and hoping for a more perfect date.
For me that is the cream. At last hope has been born for the guy who had his fair share of bad dates and horrible one night stands. Looking forward to next week with passion.
Yasser.
Ps Before I sign out I would love to share this beautiful article I found on Daily Mail. It made me happy and I almost cried.
